Kinesiology

What is Systematic Kinesiology?

Systematic Kinesiology is a complementary therapy that combines principles from the worlds of chiropractic and Traditional Chinese Medicine with a range of other mind-body techniques that promote well-being.

Gentle, non-invasive muscle testing is used to identify energetic imbalances which are being stored within the mind and body on a subconscious level.  These imbalances may present as physical symptoms, food sensitivities, emotional problems or limiting beliefs.

Each muscle corresponds with a certain system/organ and meridian (flow of energy) within the body and when an imbalance is identified, a number of techniques are used, together with suitable lifestyle recommendations, to help restore homeostasis (the body’s natural state of balance).  Kinesiology works holistically and as such addresses the nutritional / chemical, emotional, energetic and physical aspects which affect us.  It does not specifically treat illness or disease, but supports the body in restoring balance, which can be hugely beneficial to emotional and physical well-being.

What do sessions involve?

In your first session I will ask you some questions and we will have a chat about your diet, lifestyle and any past / current conditions that are affecting you.  It’s a safe, confidential space where you can share anything that you would like to address in your kinesiology sessions.

You will then lay, fully clothed, on a treatment couch where I will carry out a number of gentle, non-invasive muscle tests which communicate imbalances to us.  Every session is unique and guided by what you bring that day.  The body is amazing and when we are ready to listen, it can communicate all sorts of information to us.

Once any imbalances have been identified, I use a number of techniques to help support your body in releasing emotions and restoring balance.  These include:

  • Nutritional and food sensitivity testing
  • Neuro-lymphatic massage to stimulate the flow of lymph and help the body eliminate toxins
  • Meridian tracing and light acupressure touch to encourage energy flow
  • Bach flower remedies to help you identify and process emotions
  • Exploration of your emotions to increase self-awareness and see things in a different way
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique / Tapping) to release limiting beliefs and stored emotions
  • Chakra balancing
  • Structural Kinesiological techniques
  • Visualisations
  • Relaxing grounding techniques
